About us

Yayasan Jejak Kasih Indonesia is an Indonesian foundation established in Denpasar in 2026 and approved as a legal entity by the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia.

We were formed for one job: to see that school age children in Sumba receive safe, nutritious food on every school day.

Purposes recorded in the founding deed

The founding deed records the following purpose verbatim, under its social objects. It is reproduced here in Indonesian, the language of the deed:

Menyelenggarakan program bantuan pangan bagi masyarakat yang membutuhkan

Founding deed number 30, 30 June 2026, Pasal 3.A.11. In English: to carry out food assistance programmes for communities in need.

The foundation’s social purposes cover food assistance. What it does not yet hold is the business registration for catering, KBLI 56290, which is a different instrument from the purposes in the deed. No food will be prepared before that registration is held.

The foundation’s current activity is focused on school food assistance in Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara.

A group of children gathered outdoors in Sumba in daylight.

These are the children the foundation was set up for. No kitchen is operating yet, and this image is not a record of the foundation’s own activity.

How we work

  • We do not build what already exists

Our original plan in Kecamatan Lewa was stopped once we established that SPPG kitchens, the central kitchen units that serve the national programme, had already been built there. An additional kitchen in the same place is not service, it is waste. We are reconsidering the location.

  • We put food safety first

Government standards place a kitchen within 6 kilometres of the schools it serves. That radius is the measure we used in our siting analysis, and the kitchen will be built to meet the standard from the outset rather than brought up to it later.

  • We publish evidence

Donors are entitled to know what happened to their money. We publish evidence for each funded stage of work.

The legal name is written three ways across three government documents: Yayasan JEJAK KASIH INDONESIA on the NIB, YAYASAN JEJAK KASIH INDONESIA on the NPWP, and JEJAK KASIH INDONESIA on the Ministry of Law registry. The NIB rendering is used as the canonical form on this site.

The foundation’s contact record on the OSS business system still carries an older email address and is being updated to info@jejakkasih.org.

Our relationship with other parties

Yayasan Jejak Kasih Indonesia works with EffortX Foundation Ltd, an Australian charity registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), as a funding partner. The two are separate legal entities, each with its own officers and its own legal responsibilities.

The relationship is governed by a project based fundraising memorandum of understanding executed on 15 July 2026.

Donations are not currently tax-deductible in Australia.

Funds are raised and receipted by EffortX Foundation Ltd (Australia) and then released to the yayasan in stages. The first release is made when the project reaches its funding goal. Evidence for each stage unlocks the next release.

Child protection

The work we are preparing involves children, and we carry the obligations that come with that from now, not from the day a kitchen starts operating.

  • Our Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH) Policy and our Child Image and Story Policy were adopted by the Board on 7 August 2026. They bind the foundation from that date, and they will bind every member of staff and every volunteer it engages. No staff and no volunteers have been engaged yet.
  • Police clearance (SKCK) will be required for anyone with foreseeable contact with children, before field activity begins.
  • No child’s data and no child’s image will be collected in field activity without written consent from a parent or guardian, under Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection. Those consent forms are not in place yet, and no collection of any child’s data will begin before they are.
  • No child’s name, school or location is published alongside any image on this site. No image is presented as a record of the foundation’s own activity either, because no kitchen is operating yet.

To raise a concern about child safety, address your report to Mathius Lu Ndawa, a member of the foundation’s Pengawas organ, using the foundation email address. Name him in the subject line so the report is passed to him.

info@jejakkasih.org. Every report will be responded to within 5 working days.
